About.

Why are we here?

At Weidman Church of the Nazarene, one of our goals is to provide a place in which people can grow and heal spiritually. As we connect with each other, we develop a sense of belonging and become like family. We like to say, join us as a visitor, and leave as family.

Location

3011 N School Rd.
Weidman, MI 48893

We are a congregation of believers committed to sharing the message of Christ and guiding others towards faith in Him. As a church, we aim to love those in our community with the same love Christ has given to us. Through all we do, say, and preach, we pray that we will shine the light of Christ to all those we encounter.
Loving Jesus results in
loving others.

Weidman Church of the Nazarene Mission and Vision:
  • Our goal is to to reach lost people.
  • We use sound biblical teaching to encourage growth.
  • We are a community of faith seeking to include everyone as family.
  • We strive to create a God-centered, loving church that lives out the Word of God, and seeks to reach out into the community with God's love.
We Believe:
  • In one God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
  • That man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
  • That the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
  • That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified, regenerated, and saved from the dominion of sin.
  • Those believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
  • In the return of our Lord, in the resurrection of the dead, and in the final judgment.
Church of the Nazarene Doctrine:
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the denomination has a strong emphasis on missions.
The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.
This experience is marked by entire consecration of the believer to do God's will and is followed by a life of seeking to serve God through service to others.
Like salvation, entire sanctification is an act of God's grace, not of works. We can't save ourselves, and we can't sanctify ourselves. God does it all. Subsequently, our service to God is an act of love, and gratitude for his grace which he has extended to us through Jesus Christ.
More information can be found at the Church of the Nazarene website.
The answers to all these questions can be found at the official Church of the Nazarene website.
